GREENSBORO, NC (AUGUST 8TH, 2017) – Greensboro Fashion Week always will be an event ultimately rooted in giving back to the community. Each year, GSOFW partners with a notable local nonprofit organization to promote positive change within the Triad.

This year, GSOFW has joined with the Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro. “We love partnering with local initiatives that enhance our community and bring awareness to our agency,” shared Ashley Brooks, executive director of the Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro.

The Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro was founded in 1995 to promote the self-reliance of women in Greensboro. Their programs and services are free to any woman in the community - helping 1 in 12 community women every year as they navigate life transitions.

Whatever the challenge - whether divorcing, returning to work, starting a business, dealing with financial difficulties, or coping with family or health problems - the Women’s Resource Center is a great place to start.

“Greensboro Fashion Week has especially impressed us this year with their plans to include local models who are over 30. We are excited about the showcase event and honored to be chosen as the nonprofit beneficiary.”
