Street Style

We all know that street style it’s usually recognized by its uniqueness and edgy touch. People become more creative and decide to venture out by breaking some rules. I think street style is one of the many fun ways of expressing your style. And personally, I feel free to create new outfits that are going to be an statement.

For this outfit I decided to keep it casual but edgy. I love the pants because even though they are black they have a slit on the leg that makes the casual look more edgy. I also wore a jean jacket (that I can wear with almost anything) to give more layers and color to the outfit since I was already wearing all black. For shoes I decided to wear sneakers that also add another color. I would suggest playing with colors and textures to give shine your personality through the outfit. In my case, I wore a pair of tassel earrings I got at Forever 21. And the perfect pair of sunglasses as the statement piece. I have to say that at the beginning of seeing this trend I was not sure about how I felt. However, after seeing the sunglasses in action I felt in love.

Tips to create a street style outfit:

1.      Find basic pieces that would go well with almost anything. That will be the base of your outfit so that way you know you will feel good on it even if you add some statement pieces.

2.      Mix and match: this applies for patterns, textures and colors. Find a color palette you like and try to play around it.

3.      The statement pieces are KEY. I suggest having 1 or 2 pieces that are edgy. Start with a pair of sunglasses if you don’t feel that comfortable at trying new things or go with crazy pants, It is all up to you.

4.      Have fun and stick to who you are. There is nothing better than knowing you look good by being YOU.
