Greensboro, NC (May 2, 2016) –

GSO Fashion Week third year emcee, Brian Clarey, has thrived within the journalism industry for over 20 years. As editor in chief of the Triad City Beat, Brian’s success was first ignited in New Orleans with a publication called The Gambit. From there, he has spiraled into both an accomplished author and expert Triad journalist. Clarey’s notable experience includes writing for the Greensboro News and Record, The Rhinosaurous Times, YES! Weekly and O. Henry Magazine.

“I love watching Fashion Week grow. It started with an idea, just a crazy notion that Giovanni and Witneigh had. And I watched them take that idea and put some muscle behind it to make it go. It’s like watching anything else come to life: amazing,” says Clarey.

The Triad City Beat is distributed weekly in Winston-Salem, High Point and Greensboro – highlighting its inherent value to the heart of GSO Fashion Week. “Triad City Beat is all about culture and expression and art,” says Clarey. “Greensboro needs a Fashion Week. Fashion is an important part of identity and expression.”     The Anxious Hipster and Other Barflies I’ve Known, “ is Clarey’s artfully written collection of tales and anecdotes – eloquently portraying his variety of experiences. Today, Clarey continues to find success with the value he brings to both the Triad community and beyond.
