GREENSBORO, NC (July 24th) – As the fourth annual Greensboro Fashion Week is quickly approaching, we are excited to officially unveil the sequence of events for the grand showcase.

The week will kick-off on September 17th with the Meet and Greet – a special event where the front and back of the house will collaborate to mingle and celebrate what is to come at GSFOW. This year’s theme is “Paint the Town Red”, with the key ingredient being for everyone to arrive in red cocktail attire.

On the 20th, the Jeansboro Event will be a day officially proclaimed “Jeansboro” by the Mayor – a day selected for everyone to wear jeans in Greensboro. GSOFW has been invited by Wrangler to host a small fashion show at LeBauer Park to gear up for Wrangler Night the day after. This will be a citywide event and a soft open to kick off GSOFW.

The Wrangler Day Showcasing on the 21st will focus on 2017 as the brand’s 70th Year Anniversary. The theme of this day will be the year 1970. We are bringing back a unique line of Wrangler created by 70s designer Peter Max – which has been completely remade and will be presented at GSFOW. This night will be colorful, eclectic and take our guests back to the 70s in the most high fashion way.

The 22nd will be all about the Emerging Designer Competition – where one special “People’s Choice” winner will be given a prize of $1000. Voted “favorite” by the audience, this individual will gain exposure and the ability to showcase their X-Factor designs on the most elevated stage possible. This night will be all about each designer’s edgy and high fashion art being brought to life.

The National Brands Showcase on the 23rd will underline the “What’s In Trend” for the season’s Ready to Wear – aimed at keeping everyone ‘in the know’ on what’s in style. This night will consist of local boutiques and high-end retailers throughout the area - lineup coming soon.

The 24th will be the Kriegsman Luxury Outerwear and Mack & Mack Private Showcasing. Kriegsman Furs – the Carolina’s oldest and most respected fur, will host the event. Partnering with Kriegsman will be Mack and Mack, whose mission it is to “provide women options when they need to ‘dress up’. You aren’t dressing up; you’re just getting dressed.” Another exciting highlight will be this year’s key nonprofit organization - the Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro. Founded in 1995 to promote the self-reliance of women in Greensboro, the organization offers a variety of support systems to women in the local community - helping 1 in 12 community women every year as they navigate life transitions.

So get glam and get excited for as we begin the 50-day countdown to the fourth Annual Greensboro Fashion Week 2017
